Who we are

As an educator, I have amassed a considerable amount of experience in the teaching and learning of mathematics. In addition I have held senior positions in the leadership of mathematics. 

My specialist interest involves making mathematics accessible to students who find the subject a real challenge. 

Having taught mathematics in local schools and colleges, I am fully aware of the demands of the mathematics curriculum and the challenges faced by students. 

I am experienced in teaching Mathematics GCSE & iGCSE and familiar with AQA, OCR & Edexcel Examination Boards.

I have a proven track record of demonstrating marked grade progression and have helped many students secure grade 9s and A* at GCSE. 

Teaching is not about getting through the content of the curriculum. Here at Olde School Tutoring our sessions will ignite the passion for mathematics and the love of learning. Students who want to master maths will be taught how to link important ideas and concepts across the specification. They will acutely see how through a basic understanding they are able to access the higher grade questions with that much needed confidence.

All of our lessons are delivered in small tutoring groups. Regardless, after an initial assessment, our tutoring lessons support is always bespoke and tailored to the needs of each student.  Students are grouped according to their key stage and ability level.
